Engineering Playful Water Attractions for Families in Japan
Himeji Central Park designed its pirate-themed kids’ water play zone to enhance summer fun for families visiting its all-in-one amusement and safari destination. The design process began by mapping guest circulation and safety zones, then modeling multi-level decks, slides, and splash features for maximum visual excitement and interactive play. Attention was paid to vibrant color, whimsical decor, and age-appropriate slide inclines—ensuring fun and accessibility for young children.
Prefabricated fiberglass slide components and steel structural supports were manufactured offsite, then crane-lifted and bolted into place for efficient installation. The installation crew assembled and anchored the play structure with meticulous attention to ride transitions, anti-slip surfacing, and water delivery—minimizing downtime for the surrounding pool area. Final safety checks and flow calibrations were performed before opening day, guaranteeing comfort and reliability.
Himeji Central Park is a highlight of the summer, attracting families with its themed artistry, safe construction, and abundant play value. The project is an example of how creative engineering, theming, and precise installation can deliver memorable aquatic destinations for resort guests
